was on my own site so i know it wasnt an ad and once i reset my firefox it seemed to fix the issue
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/929131<---- more info
A virus scanner is unlikely to alert on ads displayed (unless the remote site is considered malicious or is actually malware), as there would be legitimate cases where ads are displayed.
What is telling you it is malware or is that your interpretation ?
Me I use AdBlockPlus add-on in firefox and I rarely if ever see any ads or pop-ups, etc.
i know it wasnt an ad on the site as i checked the code it didnt have one 2 once i did a reset on firefox it was gone
It isnt compulsary that once you visit the ad you get the ad everytime you go there…
OK, just read your support.mozilla.org topic - something you might find handy if you ever have to reset firefox is FEBE add-on it backs up your extensions (not saved in the reset firefox function) and a number of other elements.
So it means you only have to install the FEBE add-on again after the reset and then you can import the saved add-ons.
