I get comic strips emailed to me daily from ArcaMax (been getting ArcaMax emails since 2009) and for a week I get a Avast pop up ‘Malicious URL Blocked’, the ArcaMax emails are the only ones Avast does this to…did Avast suddenly not like ArcaMax emails?
detected. http://urlvoid.com/scan/arcamax.com/
listed at hpHosts as EMD http://hosts-file.net/?s=arcamax.com
EMD - sites engaged in malware distribution This classification is assigned to website's engaged in the distribution of malware (e.g. adware, spyware, trojans and viruses etc).Sites with this classification typically either contain files (e.g. cracks, keygens, adware, spyware, trojans, viruses et al) or lead to such via (for example) “fake scanners” or other social engineering and misleading tactics. This includes the activities of rogue Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that host other sites to which the EMD classification applies.
I’ve been getting the emails since 2009 and the avast pop up just started 1 week ago (and I’ve been using avast longer than that) so why did Avast start 1 week ago showing that pop up (it’s annoying)
maybe it arrived in there list a week ago…
Do I need to contact ArcaMax than?
Hi kansasdude,
For this you can: See codeline 105 there: http://aw-snap.info/file-viewer/?tgt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww1.acramax.com%2F&ref_sel=Google&ua_sel=ff
And this there: Content after the < /html> tag should be considered suspicious.
