Malicious URL Blocked

Hi,

My PC seems to be infected with something that causes the above message. On startup, Avast alerts and the process identified each time is svchost.exe. This before any application is launched. The PC then launches Google Chrome with urls pointing the the avast site but nothing appears as the urls seem to be wrong. I can launch windows file explorer after some time but can’t launch any other app and the computer locks up and can only be stopped by powering off. On start up, there is a blue screen which identifies a problem with kdcom.dll and the pc will start with last known settings only to go through the loop again.

Ideas to fix anyone?

Thanks and regards,

Stephen

A report will be created in your root directory, (usually C:\ folder) in the form of “TDSSKiller.[Version][Date][Time]_log.txt”. Please copy and paste its contents on your next reply.

I’ve tried 3 times to run OTL with the custom text and Run Fix and each time the PC locks up and has to be powered off. It gets to stopping processes and dies.

I’ve been running the machine is isolation disconnected from the network which keeps it going longer.

Any ideas?

cheers,

Stephen

Continue direct to the TDSSKiller section please

The TDSS Killer files is too big to post so I’ve attached it. Hope that’s OK?

cheers,

Stephen

Re-run TDSSKiller and when you see this item select delete :

\Device\Harddisk1\DR1 ( TDSS File System ) -

Then retry the OTL fix run please

Ran TDSS Killer as requested and selected delete file.

Ran OTL again but it gets to Killing Processes and hangs. I leave it for some time but there’s no activity at all and no response to input.

cheers,

Stephen

Ah OK a rush of blood to the head MBAM is installed

Re-run OTL with this script

O20 - HKLM Winlogon: UserInit - (C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Local Settings\Application Data\nnnhultc\vtctfods.exe) - File not found
[2012/02/22 18:22:07 | 000,000,000 | —D | C] – C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Local Settings\Application Data\nnnhultc

:Files
ipconfig /flushdns /c

:Commands
[purity]
[resethosts]
[emptyjava]
[emptyflash]
[CREATERESTOREPOINT]
[Reboot][/b]

OK done the new OTL run. Do I continue with TDSS Killer?

cheers,

Stephen
