There are some viruses and avast! can’t detect them. I can upload them if you need.

Put the infected files in a password protected zip file and e-mail them to virus@avast.com.

the majority of these files are PUPs and adware… not a critical sort of malware… some of them will not be detected in v4

Ok,but foreighnlanguages.exe changes hosts file.It was with me :frowning:

yeah, this one will be detected in v4… but perfect keylogger e.g. is a “legit” soft, which can only fit the PUP category (optional detection), but shouldn’t be detected by any regular detection (always turned on)…

There is a bat-file detecting by Avast 4.8 as BV:Malware-gen. Is this a heuristic method?If you understand Russian you can see here: http://www.avsoft.ru/forum/read.php?FID=15&TID=3024.

Yes,i want to ask you: if i have the file detecting by the heuristic method,should i send this file to virus@avast.com? It’s not about this bat-file,because you can see the sourse of this one easily. I ask you about the worms,for example… ???

if the heuristic is reliable then yes, it’s enough…
