Malware file not detected by Avast! 6 IS

This link goes to a malware distro site (not yet in any lists except ParetoLogic)
The executable it downloads is a malware launcher, but Avast! 6 Internet Security passes it with flying colors.

Updates from the AVAST web-site seem to have cleared the problem. Whew!

Please delete that link as it contains the aleurion MBR virus. I ran it on my virtual machine and it was detected by Avast on running … The dropper self deletes when it runs. Have passed a copy to the virus labs

Cleared what problem, are you sure you are in the right topic ?

I asked, no response and have now asked the mods to remove it.

Thank you David… I thought I would give it a run on my VM as it has been there a while… Good catch for the labs though as they do not usually get the dropper as it self deletes
