Malware FP in 131009-0

Afternoon - WE have found a FP in 131009-0 for one of our companies applications. It is getting marked as Malware (Infection: FileRepMalware, Action: Moved to Chest). I have reported to http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php. Who can I speak with to speed up the process of fixing this? We have over 200 calls into our first level, and I know your first level (AVAST) is getting calls as well. Thanks.

you can upload the url to virustotal.com for a check.

It’s not a URL, it’s actually an executable that is being quarantined.

When the file is in Quarantine, right click on the Avast icon go to Avast shields control and disable Avast UNTIL RESTART.

Then go to Maintenance And Virus Chest. Right click on the file and click extract, then choose your desktop and save it there.

Then upload the file to Virustotal, if its scanned already click reanalyse.
