Nope, if needed I set up my own VM. 
Agreed here. I have designated VM’s with varying degrees of security. From drag n’ drop bi-directional to designated VM’s with everything disabled with no Network connection. I also have a designated Physical Machine (That’s really old) if something is really that bad.
In my opinion: If you’re incapable of setting up a VM you really should not be doing any form of testing.
There are also online tests similar to virustotal but give more details, where you just upload the file … safer for those who dont know
Virustotal also have lots of extra info behind the tabs if you click after a scan … most dont
