Malware not detected by Avast!

I have previously submitted this malware (mplayerplugin.dll) to virus at avast dot com, and just now submitted it again. Alwil’s lack of response leads me to believe this sample is not really a threat, yet it scores a 26/41 detection at VirusTotal. ???
