malware popup occurring regularly

Howdy,

After renewing my Avast subscription (free version), I am having the same issues as many others it would seem.

I am now getting the red MALICIOUS URL BLOCKED message appearing regularly, often when I am not browsing the net.

Here is my first scan result:

And here are the mbam and OTL logs:

And here is my final log:

malware removers are notified, it may take some hours before they arrive…

Hi,

I need to see AdwCleaner[S0].txt. You have been posted wrong log.

=> Do not attach any USB while cleaning is in progress. They may be infected. We shall check that later.

Please download zoek.zip (
http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/Zoek_icon.png
) from here or here and save it to your Desktop.
Unpack the archive…

[*]Close any open browsers
[*] Temporarily disable your AntiVirus program. (If necessary)
If you are unsure how to do this please read this or this Instruction.

[*]Double click on zoek.exe to run the tool .
Please wait while the tool does not start…

[*]Copy the text present inside the code box below and paste it into the large window in the zoek tool:

createsrpoint;

[*] Click on

Thanks magna86.

However, no luck so far as I’m having problems downloading/opening the zoek.zip file.

Every time I try to open it I get a pop-up, and then a message that my WinZip subscription has expired and that I need to purchase a new version.

And I am unable to paste anything in to the large window.

I’ll have to look at this when I get home from work tomorrow as it is almost my bed time now… :slight_smile:

@Dragonfly62

I have been upload current version of Zoek into my FTP.

Try to download & run Zoek from one of these links:

http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Temp/zoek.com
http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Temp/zoek.exe

[notice: this download links shall be removed upon completion of this case]

I know I asked for help…but I’m not happy about downloading zoek. :-\

A few places I’ve looked at indicate it might be unsafe. Is there an alternative?
