Malware Similar to Antivirus 2010

Everything that happens with Antivirus 2010, is happening to my computer, but I don’t have any of the Antivirus 2010 files that I can find. But everything else seems the same. The pop ups I get prompt me to purchase “Antivirus Action” software, and it also opens random “porn” sites. Please help! This is my work computer and I need to work!

if you are using avast at your work computer i suggest you try a boot scan with avast and see it it can catch it from there.

if not try malwarebytes antimalware thats good weapon agings those fake rouge antivirus program you have been hit with.

It may be a variant of a fake av. So, download Malwarebytes here. Before scan update it. Also, clean temp files, you can use CCleaner. Then let me know if the problem still or resolve.

Thanks for the responses! I followed the directions, basically, to remove Antivirus 8, and so far it seems to have worked. I will go through and look at your suggestions though, and see if there’s anything else I missed or if it comes back, etc…thanks so much!
