Very good. How is your PC behaving now?

Looks good, no alerts from avast and both avast and malwarebytes cannot find anything. I still have the security alert on startup though, is this anything to be concerned about?

see att.

It is only a leftover from Microsoft Security Essentials.

Download and run this tool:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/2/7/1275303B-2F0F-4360-A86C-C9D8D56D5416/MicrosoftFixit50535.msi

Let me know if this fixed it.

Tried it and rebooted (twice to be sure) but no its still there on startup. The other problem seems to be sorted though cheers.

I would like you to try this utility:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

I’m not having problems installing or uninstalling anything that i’m aware of.

Just follow my instructions. On the link I provided, click Run and follow next steps. You need to choose Microsoft Security Essentials to uninstall.

Yes I understand now, and it seems to have worked thanks very much! much appreciated.

I told you

Post-cleanup procedures:

Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.

[*]Run the tool by right click on the
http://www.imgdumper.nl/uploads6/51a5ce45267c1/51a5ce45263de-delfix.png
icon and Run as administrator option.
[*]Make sure that these ones are checked:

[]Remove disinfection tools
[
]Purge system restore
[*]Reset system settings

[*]Push Run and wait until the tool completes his work.
All tools we used should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:[B]DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

done thanks again
