I don’t know exactly what it’s called. The scan that won’t work is when I right click on a file, the menu pops up, and I click on “Scan file with Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware”. After I click it, nothing happens. When I do the same with Avast!, the Avast! scanner works.
How long are you waiting for it to scan?
Typically I wait 7 seconds for the interface to appear - it’s a bit slow to come up, then the scan occurs.
Edit, BTW it’s called a context menu, the right-click list.
It doesn’t show up at all, maybe it’s because I renamed the executable?
Seems as though that may be the thing. Just tested it by renaming the executable to mbam2.exe and it didn’t work.
Once back to mbam.exe it worked fine…
Try re-naming it to the original (mbam.exe)
