I hope even tho this is an avast forum that someone will help,I just d/l’ed the latest version of Malwarebytes and can’t find a quick scan or a full scan option. Does anyone know if that exists with this new version…thanks
Wow I feel stupid,found it,thanks anyway.
They changed the scan names which doesn’t help, Quick is now Hyper. The new UI will take a little getting used to.
The thing that I have found, the scans take much longer on their default settings. Hyper is no where as quick as the old Quick was.
i think the quick now also scan compressed files? … i only have ipad now so cant check the settings
The user guide shows differences in scans. Read 5.0 - 5.3.

Ever since I d/l’ed the newest version of Malwarebytes a few times when I try to do a custom scan the scan will hang up. Only happens with the custom scan,anyone else have this problem. BTW I can only do a “threat” or a “custom” scam,not able to do a Hyper,is that because I’m using the free version?
That would happen (hanging) when doing ‘custom scan’ with Rootkit scanning enabled/

Should I be able to do a “hyper” scan,I’m using the free version. Also do I have to un-install the version I presently have and then re-install the latest beta version ,I’m a computer novice so thats why I ask.

The Hyper Scan is the old Flash scan. (Premium users only) [not sure if they changed it to free in v2]
The threat scan would be the the old quick scan and the custom would be the full scan (based on what you decice to scan)

If you have v.2 installed then yes you could install beta overtop.
