yeah, interesting thread…I use MalwareByte, sometimes…I admit, just based on its extremely good reputation. Gotta read more about it before risking to post bs here…I don’t even know what makes it more relevant than an AV in extreme situations (that’s among other things what’s being said about it, the ultimate saver…), and after I read this thread, I’m getting less convinced to use it at all…may be some frustration because I did run a full scan with it earlier today ;D …didn’t have any infection, just wanted to test it. So that’s useless, after all, and a quick scan just does the job…I got many profile’s folders not located on C:\ …what about them ???
Clearly, comparing apple to apple, what does MBAM do that Avast can’t do, is there anything special, better heuristics, better rootkit detection…, I’m wondering, not assuming anyhting, seriously.
Again, I’ve only used it a few times, together with the other most reputed security software of that kind…SAS. Are those two really worth keeping when something like avast is already loaded ?

what does MBAM do that Avast can't doIt scans the registry for malicious entry points. AVs do not.
Are those two really worth keeping when something like avast is already loaded ?Most certainly. See above.
thanks for the feedback, see my thread here:
