Need a new job ?

Malwarebytes Wants You - Calling all programmers
http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=77362

Their requirement is out of my skills

Maybe you could learn, if the salary is adequate.
How much are they willing to pay…?? 8)

.....You are a veteran security programmer, a self-taught hobbyist, or someone in between who just thinks malware is that........
Well you are more than a self-taught hobbyist Omid ;)

I don’t fulfill the requirements:

Know C++ and Windows backwards, forwards, inside-out, upside-down, inside-out-and-upside-down, and preferably anagrammed as well
I don't know C++.
Have particular expertise in application-level Windows API programming OR GUI programming OR low-level (kernel) Windows programming
I don't have any of them.
Most of all, you should HATE malicious software in all its forms, and feel a vindictive pleasure as you join us in slaughtering it. You should be excited to be part of a community-based effort to keep people safe on the Internet!
I'm not vindictive, although I'm trying to help to get a safe internet :)

Well, As Tech Said “I don’t fulfill the requirements”, Not C++, Not Windows API or Kernel, and about HATE malwasre, I like to fight them but I don’t know how good I can be in that

As I always tell every one at the security seminars,
this forum is unique since we not only help with virus related problems,
but pretty much any computer problem and some problems aren’t even computer related.

How about working at avast? ;D

As you maybe know I and other Evangelists have visited Avast! in Prague last month, and I really like everything I have seen there : The company, the people and the atmosphere

Greetz, Red.

Don’t forget Money we all love a great big salary package ;D ;D ;D

I didn’t ask  But money is not everything my friend

Greetz, Red.

Give Speedy a few more years and he’ll realize that fact. ;D

Another 30 years of life experiences will sure help.

sorry for being a bit out of topic(a lot actually) but i couldnt notice the avast version youre using…why so outdated version?i would understand not having v6 coz of the bugs there are in it but why still 5.0 and not even 5.1?just curious :stuck_out_tongue:

-back to the topic-

is there any job i can find in AV industry?i dont have any programming skills(exept visual basic :S ) but i’d like to help avast eliminate malware…just a simple job, like spamming what time is it in the forum or emptying the recycle bin…maybe working as a voice model so you will all have to hear me in each definition update muahahaha

anyway no jokes now…i clicked on the link about avast’s reqruitment center but its not in english…could that mean they reqruit only in chech republic?

what, tech, fahrang etc… not meeting the requirements to work for mbam ??? how surprising ;D ;D ;D… okay more seriously, there’s only one security expert posting -regularly - on the forum as a user, it’s Essexboy ;)not sure if he’s not already collaborating with malwarebyte.

I’m no security expert, stated it several times here, while some like - through an ammmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaazing postcount and even an article on Avast blog - to let the noobs think that they are. And well it ends up here, in a thread where they must finally admit that, in terms of actual technological knowledge, they got none at all ;D nice  And again, as stated in another thread here where a high post count noob described herself as an Avast rep, we’re definitely not Avast reps, we’re just users, with some of us more advanced than others.

As far as I’m personally concerned it doesn’t matter, I hate technology… don’t get me wrong I like it very much as a user, but I would never spend a minute of my life writing a line of code, it’s just not my thing, I find code boring… not just security software code, any code. Helping people here, beta testing there etc… is one thing, being a software designer is something else, so let’s just celebrate this difference here once for all guys ;D

ps: on a side note I’m happy that this thread was not started in the so called “evangelist” (I hate this label) corner, but in the general public section. Hope many here will read it.
