Managed client no longer shows on desktop.

I’ve been tasked with completing the roll-out of Avast! AV Managed at my workplace, and in the course of getting the one managed client talking to the server I can no longer see the managed client on the desktop. Since there is a nada for roll out documentation on this, I’ve had to poke and guess about what happened before I took this up.

What I think happended in that the installation package was incorrectly configured and was using the wrong IP address for the server. I modified the IP address on the client via the aswChAMS utility and it looked like that fixed the issue. Running update from the client gave back the correct IP as the server it should be talking to.

After a cold boot of the client, launching Avast! on the client brings up the splash screen for the memory check, then no user interface on the client.

Why is this happening? Something broken or setting I’m not seeing? Keep in mind I’ve new to this product and only have about three hours of exposure to it to date.

EDIT: On the client, I CAN pull up the Simple Interface from the executable “aswSimp2.exe”, but can NOT pull up the Enchanched User Interface. I am challenged for a password, and since I did not set this product up I don’t know it.

The number of views is huge because the forum is always active.
But most of us, users, aren’t used with the server and ADNM versions.
