Manual Updating

I am considering the purchase of Avast DNM for my network, but I had a quick pre-sales question:

My network consists of 2 Windows servers (file server, domain controller), and 12 XP workstations. The problems is that this network is NOT connected to the Internet for security reasons. I want to setup one of the servers as a “mirror” so that the client workstations can get their updates automatically. But in order to get new av definitions and program updates onto the mirror, I have to use “sneakernet”. In other words, once per week I would download the updates from Avast using a standalone Internet machine, put the update files on a thumb drive or CD, which would then be walked over to the mirror machine where the files would be manually copied over.

My question is: Is this scenario possible using the Avast product? Or do I have to have a live Internet connection to the mirror machine?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

You need a live internet machine to get the updates. However If you setup another machine such as a workstation, you can update your Secure server mirror from that and acheive what your after i believe.
