Manually updating Avast Business Protection fails immediately.

Hello,

I haven’t gotten updates to our virus definitions since the 14th of February.

Users are getting notifications they should update and are asking for administration credentials.

My question is this,

  1. How can I troubleshoot the update process, any logs or text files that detail the failure?

  2. How can I turn off the facility that alerts the user to log in so they can update manually?

We’ll I’ve updated the system administration console and now it appears to be updating the virus definitions.

But how to I turn off the message at the client that the definitions need to be updated? This causes all sorts of clicking and pestering as the user wants to know the console credentials.

try to uncheck this boxes in the Console, under NETWORK, GROUP VIEW, EDIT GROUP SETTINGS, and tell to us if you solve the problem.

Note that if you’ve updated the console (I think the v. 1.1.132.15) you should update the client program to v. 6.0.1373…
