Margaret Thatcher

To our friends in Great Britain my deepest condolences for the loss of a great leader.

I concur, she managed to break the stranglehold that the unions had on our country. But, alas the left wing brigade have never forgiven her for that, even though they were ultimately responsible for some industries dying through their bloody mindedness and intransigence.

I speak from experience as I was working during the 70’s and 80’s and saw the damage the unions were causing

My condolences, She was a great lady.

There was nothing great about Thatcher. >:(

I was still in the Armed Services during the whole time when she was Prime Minister and she got this country of its knees. Winter of discontent streets strewn with rubbish, strikes everywhere.

I can’t see the short sightedness of some people, some of whom probably weren’t even around when she was PM and saw the state of the country, but it is ingrained in them.

I saw entire communities and lives destroyed by her, many of which have never recovered. I shall shed no tear for her passing.
There were plenty of us around during her time as PM and we will never forget or forgive.

This woman was an enemy of my country. In ancient Rome they advised either to speak good or just keep silent about the dead. I will keep silent.

I started this thread to extend condolences ā€œnotā€ condemnations.

Condolences for both Margaret Thatcher and Annette Funicello.

Thanks Bob, Your right.

Thanks. We’re all grief stricken at the loss of our ā€œgreat leaderā€, I can tell you.

Yes, most people don’t care. It just seems the press are the one’s obsessed with her.

Margaret Thatcher was a very divisive Prime Minister, some loved her, mainly the Rich, some Loathed her, mainly the poor.

I fall into the latter group.End Of.

Whoopee! :-X :-X

i am from grantham in lincolnshire, her birth town and i live exactly 5 mins from where she was born.I am what you would call one of ā€œthatchers childrenā€ as in my teenage years and a bit earlier all i knew was margaret as PM.She was a good stout leader and times were never as hard in those days as they are now.She never did me or my family any harm and i hope she rests in peace.
Here in grantham the press have taken over the place and in the future a statue is to be placed here in memory of margaret hilda roberts as the people of grantham knew her.
