Help, Help!
I keep getting a request for a software password to be inserted into a window before I can download my emails. To the best of my knowledge I’ve never had a password. I’ve since found out this is a virus according to my ISP [CHARIOT]. The window is titled Master Password for Software Security Device.
Why and how can I remedy this?
If you help me I’d be so grateful.
I’ve had thunderbird for many yearS now be cannot download from my ISP.
I’m contact able at rmbhart@gmail.co. This a secondary addy for me.
Best wishes to all, Hawk795
Googling around…it seems Firefox have something called “Software Security Device”
software security device. The default security device used by Certificate Manager to store private keys associated with your certificates. In addition to private keys, the software security device stores the master key used by Password Manager to encrypt email passwords, web site passwords, and other sensitive information.
