Mavoo.net redirect?

Hey!

So recently (past week?) I’ve been noticing that whenever I search something on google and I click on any of the search results, I get redirected to mavoo.net before being sent to the right website. So, let’s say I google “wikipedia” and click on the first search result (wikipedia.org), I should be sent to wikipedia.org immediately, but for some reason first I’m sent to mavoo.net and then sent to wikipedia.org.

I ran avast! and it didn’t find anything. I tried a full scan, then a cleanup, and also boot-time scan, and all of those came out good.

I was googling the problem and it seems to be an adware. However, since Avast! isn’t finding anything I’m not sure what to do.

Have any of you dealt with something like this?

follow instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
we need Malwarebytes and Farbar Recovery Scan Tool logs, attach the logs, 3 logs total

see below the box you write in … Attachments and other options

When done a expert will check logs and assist you

Thank you for the reply

I ran malwarebytes and it didn’t find anything ???

Should I still upload the log?

The important logs are the two diagnostic logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

attach them here

I hope I attached the right files!

Which browser does this appear in ? Could you test all browsers and let me know

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S0].txt as well.

This is the log that came out.

I noticed the event happening sometimes on Chrome. I don’t use any other browser.

Here is the attached file. I didn’t clean all the files that AdwCleaner found because some of them looked important (they dealt with drivers?).

I also got rid from some Chrome extensions, and that seemed to get rid of the problem? ???

AdCleaner does have the option to restore from quarantine ;) found at top > tools button

They are adware folders so can be safely removed

Is chrome now behaving itself ?
