Maxthon Cloud Browser - RESOLVED -

So I just installed the PortableApps.com version of Maxthon Cloud Browser.

Is the N: Drive the Cloud?
I managed to be able to change the location of where to save images from the N: Drive to My Documents.
NOW … the Cache save location is also being indicated as the N: Drive.
I don’t think I see the option to change that.

Even though it has “Cloud” right in the name, I’d rather not save anything in the friggin’ Cloud if possible.
I just want it as a backup Browser like in case I need it for troubleshooting purposes if I’m experiencing problems with Opera. Or if a particular website is slow with Opera.

The cloud has no drive letter.
The cloud is a metaphor for the Internet.

Oh, even as I type this, I already have Opera 20.0.1387.91 Portable in my Flash Drives.
I also have Firefox Portable. Off and on I also sometimes have Chrome Portable on my Flash Drives.

I wanted to add Maxthon Cloud Portable to the mix for like when sometimes I’ll encounter a weird situation and I start engaging in troubleshooting whether it’s an Opera Browser problem, an AOL ISP problem, a computer problem or just exactly what. You know … just another tool with which to help troubleshoot whenever the need arises. Or if a website is temporarily or all the time being slow with my Opera Browser, it wouldn’t hurt to explore what this Maxthon Cloud Browser might do.

I wanted to explore this Maxthon as a 2nd option since on MY systems, Firefox and Chrome have always been pretty close to worthless. They just don’t appear to ever have been capable of handling underpowered computers and Dial Up very well at all. Opera Browser has always been very good in that area.

It’s interesting that Chrome is pretty close to worthless on my systems … and yet the new Chrome-based Opera 20 is working very well on my system.

Oh, I’m aware the Cloud is the Internet.
But, to what the heck is that N: Drive referring if not to the Cloud? Cuz it certainly refers to “N: Drive” there in the Settings of that Maxthon Cloud Browser when talking about the locations for saving images and for the cache. And there is no N: Drive on my computer.

You make a mistake.
Opera 20 is not Chrome based, but Chromium based (as is Chrome).

As for Maxthon, it is as with Chrome, FF, IE (and others), it doesn’t come close to Opera ('s speed).

Well, if I can’t find a way to keep it from saving the cache in the Cloud, I can only see that as slowing things down and thus will have to kick it to the curb.
