MAY BE A BIG VIRUS ON FACEBOOK ?
My facebook is so slow that I cannot write in it.
I have to wait several seconds before I can tape a new character.
This happens in France to many people since a week.
I have noticed than when I am visiting any site with Firefox, my processor is less than 10% busy.
The memory used by Firefox is then 50 Mb.
As soon as I log in Facebook, the processor activity becomes 50 or 60% and the memory used by Firefox goes up to 280 Mb
I believe it is a virus. Then I must close firefox (when it wants, or vith CTRL ALT SUPPR) to return to a small processor activity.
What do you think of that ? How is Facebook in your country ?
Thanks
There is a known issue with Firefox and WebRep. Disable WebRep in Firefox and see if the problem disappears. If it doesn’t then you may have a different problem. Or, use Chrome or IE until the repair is made. Hopefully, the fix will be released soon.
THANKS
Thanks but the problem is also with IE, is also with my second computer and with my phone.
When I connect to Facebook with my phone, after less than 10 seconds I get an alert message “processus com.facebook.katana suddenly closed”.
The problem is only with facebook, when I visit any other site there is no problem.
I assume you are using an Android phone and are using the Facebook application?
I have performed a google search for ‘processus com.facebook.katana suddenly closed’ and there are many discussions regarding this. Maybe your solution is in one of these discussions.
Do you only have this problem while using the Facebook app? If you use the android web browser to access Facebook are things ok?
