Hi,
Avast scans around 625691 files in its full virus scan whilst MBAM only scans around 350,000 in its full threat scan. Does this mean MBAM is not a good scanner?
I use avast free with MBAM free as a secondary scanner
Malwarebytes isn’t an anti-virus which is why it doesn’t typically scan the same files as an AV.
Some security programs scan inside compressed archives others may not depending on settings
Some programs check files against online (cloud lists) and dont rescan known clean files
RECOMENDED: Use default scan settings
Oh ok, so it does scan but not clean files
How does it know a file is clean unless it scans it.
We avast users don’t know everything about MBAM how it determines what is clean if it has a cloud database that it had known good/clean files.
These kind of questions really should be put to MBAM.
Ok
