Well,

title says all McAfee got them, i’m unsure what to think
but considering my not so great experience with McAfee products and service …

let’s hope it not turn into another expensive (cash cow) service …

anyway i wish new resources results in best for SiteAdvisor project as the idea was well done …

Hi malware fighters,

Isn’t this exactly what I predicted a while ago. The market will be dictated by a few big players that acquire everything, or at least try to do so. This is dictated by the market, the scheme is globalization. The only fear is about independence. I mean that what is malware will be truly flagged as such, and the policy rules on this will not be stretched or bended a little by the same market forces that is creating this anti-malware landscape, we have to live in. We like to click and play, not click and pay!

It says on the site that it will remain free but I don’t know what McAfee will change, I hope they will not bundle the security center (got rid of McAfee antispyware for that).

Why they need so many fingers in so many pies, actually?
If you have so many pots out on the fire from so many different cooks, you get strange brews, just like other monopolies show all the time. Just some thoughts that come to my mind here.

You’re so right there. Nothing re-freshing, only take-overs and buy-outs. Then think of DrWeb and their pre-scanner plug-in, innovative and original free services, home-developed.
But, my good friend you needs brains to do that, a thing that money cannot buy. A lot of security people forget that fact. Overbloatedness is never functional.

Thanks for your info. Had to uninstall, reinstall it for Firefox. It also works now on Yahoo search results. Lucky for me the Flock extension also reinstalled. So see where we go now with this for the moment. Because, my friend, it is just like as with the DrWeb pre-scanner plug-in, once you have it inside your browser, you cannot seem to be without it, especially when it is enhancing your feeling of security.
