I’m not sure how to frame the question on Google so I thought I would ask all of you.
A neighbor of mine has two different media players installed on his copy of Windows XP Home, WMP 11 and Jukebox. The other day, I downloaded an mp3 for him that he wanted and told Opera to open it with WMP 11 (which was the player he wanted to use.) Well, Jukebox “claimed” the file as its own, put it’s own logo on it and WMP 11 doesn’t seem to be able to detect or play it, only Jukebox. How do I get the mp3 file 'claimed" by WMP 11? Do I have to go so far as to uninstall Jukebox?
You should be presented with a list, but also an option to choose from one not on the list. If you clcik that, then you can choose WMP and tick the box that lets you do this for every type of file.
I did try the “open with…” menu but apparently didn’t see the “choose default program” option. :-[ I’m going over there today to help him out with it, so I will post back and let you know how it went. Thank you very much for your help.
