Member Map crashing Internet Explorer 7

Is there something unusual about the Member Map that would cause Internet Explorer 7 to crash twice in a row which also forced a reboot of Windows, once?

The map comes up perfectly with the SeaMonkey suite.

For me it is horrendously slow in IE7 - which waits until the complete display is ready.

FF3 displays the map and then paints all of the points on it. Again, so slowly, it is not something worthwhile.

Both IE7 and FF3 consume, for some time, one processor on my dual processor system to produce the display.

avast scanning being on or off seems irrelevant to the slowness of this display.

You doesnโ€™t need to reboot to solve the problem. Just run Task Manager and Click End Process on Internet Explorer.

Since SeaMonkey displayed it without a problem, I do not believe Avast had anything to do with it.

Regarding IE 7, the Windows Error Reporting tool submitted two error reports. After the second report was submitted, the computer rebooted automatically.
