Memory problem

This may or may not even be a virus at all, but here goes.

Currently
‘System Idle Process’ is taking up over 90% of my CPU resources.
and
‘adbrdr32.exe’ is taking up loads of resources, as well.
help?

Task manager on the toolbar says 1-10%, while in the task manager itself it’s saying up to 95% for system idle process.

Have you done any malware scan to check?

‘System Idle Process’ is taking up over 90% of my CPU resources is normal and signifies the system is idle most of the time.

‘adbrdr32.exe’ looks like its part of Comodo.

The odd thing is, when my task manager is just in the taskbar, it shows nothing out of the ordinary.

Actually, I JUST did a superantispyware check literally an hour ago, and it found nothing.

What is comodo?

try also MBAM http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ update and run quick scan, click on "remove selected" after scan to quarantine anything found

I actually already have MBAM, let me run it, now that I think of it.

An hour or so later, it’s detected one entry (although I’m pretty sure it’s just gamevance’s advertizing crap) I’ll have to wait to see.

Had to prematurely kill the scan, it was, indeed, game vance that it detected. My task manager must be acting up.

Alright, now my avast(v5 beta) has started detecting malware-gen32, it’s moving it all to the chest atm, it’s mainly in the temp folder. HOWEVER, it seems to be coming from adbrdr32.exe the program I was talking about earlier.

Also, it appears I am several…years… behind on my Acrobat reader updates. i’ve only got 7.0! (fail)

I’ve been scanning windows and temp folders, and I haven’t found a thing. I’ll let it be for now, see if it pops up later.
