stupid question having run avast pro for 2 years, but i’m using the simple interface and thought i’d look at the enhanced version - but for the life of me can’t find the ‘menu button’ anywhere?

What skin are you using ?
If the default it should be at the top left (see image, I’m using the aVist skin) of the SUI try moving the mouse pointer round the skin on buttons/icons and a tooltip should say what things are. You can also right click inside the skin and the menu will appear.
