A message keeps popping up on my computer to install antispyware 2009. How do I get rid of it
So far it has only popped up when I was looking at a serious website. It showed as a pop-up window with the Microsoft Security icon telling me that I might be infected with a certain virus. I didn’t download anything. It turn off my windows firewall.
I deleted the history and temporary files, restart the computer but the pop-up keeps showing up. I passed adware and it didn’t detect anything. Itried to open a microsoft website and the explorer close up. I am doing a scan boot with avast now and seems to be ok.
There is a new icon in the windows bar. What do I have to do to get rid of the pop-up?
What heel is it?
Someone else experiments the same problem?
Thanks for any help

What you have is what the malware-fighting “community” calls a “Rogue”
Program ; the FREE Version of Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, available from www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php , is the initial ( & hopefuly last )
PRIMARY program to remove “Rogues” . IF you have any problems downloading, or installing, or updating, or running this program, let us know
AND at what “stage” of the process mentioned above this occurred .
I downloaded the antimalwarebytes and it solved the problem.
I read about this “rogue” but I have no idea how it installedin my computer. It start very sudden, I was not downloading anything and was looking at a portfolio of a serious designer.
Not even a program is perfect… so, some variant of this malware could be passing through.
Can you submit the file to virus (at) avast (dot) com for analysis?
Sorry. It made me so crazy that I deleted everything which were in quarentine.
It calls rogue. It simply scan your computer quickly without permission installing many trojans and messages keep popping up to advise that the computer is infected showing a list of many virus.
I downloaded antimalwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/ It seems to be the only one to remove this virus. I remembered there were a lot of trojans called Zbot and Tidserv. Everything was in C driver. I scanned my computer after removed it and all the files were cleaned.
What can I do to avoid it come to my computer?
Thanks

If you’ve sent them to avast Chest (quarantine), why do you think avast was not able to stop (clean) them?
I suggest:
Clean your temporary files.
Schedule a boot time scanning with avast with archive scanning turned on. If avast does not detect it, you can try DrWeb CureIT! instead.
Use SUPERantispyware, MBAM or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete them.
Thanks
They were not in AVAST. I sent them to MBAM quarentine. I deleted the files which were in quarentine. I know there is no problem but I feel safe it they are not in my computer… just silly.
I really I would like to know how I can block the malware before installing in my computer. I will follow your advise I hope it stop them.
Thanks
