Message when starting Avast 4.8

When I start Avast, by clicking on the button, a message appear :" enter a password."
Why ?
What does it mean ?

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  • Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system? Did you have in the past?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?

It’s strange, it does not seem to be an avast message…
Are you trying to start the antivirus or change the Program settings?

My OS is XP (SP3). I think it is up to date.
I use SPYBOT, but no firewall. (Except the XP one), and no different antivirus, only Avast 4.8.
In the past, I used Norton Antivirus, but I uninstalled it for a long time. and formatted my hard disk since.
The message appear when I start my Antivirus

Seems that someone with admin rights set a password on avast!
The easier will be uninstalling and installing it again.
