help needed scanner message coninuously on. Seems to be constantly scanning and messaging. I turned messages off in setup but it made nodiffrence. Help appreciated
What kind of “messages” do you mean exactly?

Well, on-access scanner can me a number of things.
When you go to the resident protection control window, select Standard Shield provider, and check the last page of its configuration (Advanced), is the “Show detailed info on performed action” checked? If yes, unchecking should help.
The same applies to the other resident providers (Internet Mail, …).
