Messages !

Hi everybody ! I´m back!

So, i think Technical make my mind believes AVAST! is the best AV software and i changed it. ;D

´cause of this now is time to my questions! hheheh

Can I turn off the message box when AVAST! found some threats in my email? And turn it automatic (always try to repair and if it´s not possible delete file) ?
I´m using everything in HIGH DETECTED with WINDOWS XP SP1.

Thanks!
Regards!

Personally, I would leave the messages on, as there may be certain legitamate Email attachments that AVast may mistake for a threat and sanitize.

Right click the blue ball next to the clock, choose the on-access protection and change the settings there if you like.

Maybe I deserve a promotion 8)

In Home version there is only one automation posible:
‘Silente Mode’ with the answer ‘No’, which means, send file/message to Chest.
Automation is a feature of Professional version

Are you mean “click on label HEURISTIC to select SILENT MODE and select what you want to do” ?
Only thing I found about that was it. I select SILENT MODE and “Mark it in the subject”.
BTW, i didn´t receive ant threats to test now. When it occur I will post here.

Thanks for all answers!
Regards!

No, we’re talking about two different things.
I was talking about ‘automated actions when a virus is found’:
‘Silente Mode’ with the answer ‘No’, which means, send file/message to Chest. This could be found at the ‘Advanced’ tab of the providers.

You’re talking about Heuristics automation. There, in Heuristics tabs of the settings, you can configure how avast should work when a suspect email is received. Not a infected one. After the Heuristic analysis the email could be clean and will be delivered into your email client (or marked in the subject line or even deleted) or, the email is infected and then, the other automation takes place: you can only send the infected mail to Chest.

In Professional version you can configure a lot of other possibilities: repair, delete, send to Chest, move to another folder, etc.

Huumm. Okay!

But you were talking about automation. And How I turn off the message box when AVAST! found some threats in my email? Is it possible in Home or Pro Editions?

Thanks again!

Are you talking about Heuristics or infected mail?
Can you post a screenshot of the message? Or, at least, post what the contents of that window (message box)?

No. I´m talking about the message for what action i need to do when i receive virus in my email. Here´s the picture.

Can i disable this info??? thanks and sorry about my beautiful picture.,… heheheehe

See u!

Like I said before, choose ‘Silente Mode’ with the answer ‘No’, which means, send file/message to Chest. This could be found at the ‘Advanced’ tab of the providers. 8)

To avoid the displaying virus advice (yellow/red layer that pops up when a virus is found), set ShowVirusTag to 0 into avast4.ini file (see settings on my signature).

First, thanks for your help.
Second, i´m sorry but it didn´t work because i don´t have this option in my Outlook/Exchange (v.4.1-418) or i can´t see that! :-[
I found it in other buttons in main menu from avast! on- Access Scanner. (like internet mail and Standard Shield).

I like this advice (hehehehehe) but i tried and it´s really work! Thanks again!

Cheers…

Sorry, I forgot to say, into the MS Outlook plugin it will available only in next version 4.5 :-\

Technical,

You are a General already and a commanding officer of the Avast Anti-virus Army, cause look how many stars you got.

Gee! I have 95 posted already, I haven’t been posting that much? Have I?

Thanks for your kind words :-[

Well, quantity is not the only quality here 8)
