Micro$oft Update Site Infected?

Dear Forum,

Can anybody confirm whether the Micro$oft Update site is infected?

It has been running so slowly that I am beginning to wonder if there is something amiss.

I run Avast, ZA Pro, MBAM and Firefox. However when I use the manual update function within $hiternet Explorer the website is really lagging.

I’ve run Ccleaner and cleared all my temporary files, disabled script blocker in Avast and all the script and cookie blockers in ZA Pro.

In addition I’ve randomly accessed the site on many days which were not Black Tuesday.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Regards,

Avastfan1

I know you don’t care for M$ however before starting a rumor about an infection,
it might be wiser to eliminate everything else.

I have no problems getting to the update site from my XP system. Since there’s nothing for me to download,
I can only confirm that getting the update information or lack thereof isn’t any problem.

Yep, bob 3160,

I fully agree with you, better do a full scan with MBAM and SAS or give us a hijackthis logfile as attached txt to analyze. If this happens in the real world it is not just one user complaining, but there is known malcode/malware to interfere with the normal Microsoft updates as with other av solution downloads and scans,
