I’ll test it and post later 8)
Ok Tech,
I look forward to your response from your tests.
Nice post, Mike! ![]()
Yes, that could be helpful. Awaiting Tech’s test results. ![]()
Unfortunately does not work with IE7 only 6 and below
Yes that is one problem and as I was going to try IE7 I now think I will wait to hear what Tech’s results have to say.
The only use for this tool, at least, that I could see, is to check (manually) a url.
The test indicates if the site uses a third party cookie… well, Firefox could block 3rd party cookies automatically…
Oh, a second use is to generate typos of that website, automatically scans them and highlight those domain that exist and that park services that have a large number of typo-squatting domains in their programs. The tool provides a domain blocking feature to allow parents to protect their children’s online activities by blocking those domains that are serving adult ads on typo-squatting domains of children’s websites.
Well… I’m uninstalling it as WebShield + Firewall + PeerGuardian + a well configurated browser (mostly Firefox) could do the job better… and most of us have these group of tools running in our system. 8)
Thanks for the feedback Tech,
I guess I won’t try it as you said those tools can do the job better - and I have those tools - except peerguardian. 8)
Thanks again Tech,
Mike
Yep … same here. So, no need of that for me. ![]()
Good companion when you’re surfing dangerously ![]()

PeerGuardian 2 is Phoenix Labs’ premier IP blocker for Windows. PeerGuardian 2 integrates support for multiple lists, list editing, automatic updates, and blocking all of IPv4 (TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc), making it the safest and easiest way to protect your privacy on P2P.
Tech,
That looks a good program, but, as I don’t use P2P programs I guess I have no need for it. ![]()
Unless it blocks your IP, etc on the internet as well other than just P2P?
It could block any IP besides yours… I mean, it’s not a firewall, it just block YOUR access to OTHER sites.
I think Comodo has an IP blocking feature but the only reason I would need to block an IP is because of my online gaming such as if i ban someone from my server.
I don’t see anything in Comodo to block your IP address.
There are two or three list of malware/adware/spyware sites… you can block them and IF WebShield signatures failed, well, PeerGuardian will save your day 8)
So Tech,
If I were to use this program while browsing the internet - without any P2P software - would it block pages from certain IP addresses while using a web browser?
