Microsoft Surface 3 - Avast background service is not running

Have just got a brand new Surface 3 (running windows 10) and have installed avast. However, when I open the program it says I am unprotected as the background servicies are not running. Neither clicking ‘start now’ or ‘resolve all’ produces any results. Any advice would be appreciated.

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

In Windows 10, for step 1 it would be:

  1. Control Panel > Program and Features
    Or, use the Windows & X key combo and select the following:

You can also do a right click on the Start Menu to get this selection Menu. :slight_smile:
