how about client for endpoint protection plus? it is also works?
I have been running Avast! Endpoint Protection Suite Plus Standalone Client on my Windows Server 2012 Essentials for about a month now. Exchange and SharePoint Real-Time Shields do not run. But by all appearances, Avast! does work properly on this server.
However, the Small Office Administration software does not install properly on the Windows Server 2012 Essentials. Gives Avast! something to fix along with fixing their software to work with Windows 8 for us high-paying customers.

I also would be very pleased to receive any news about this. In the meantime, we have several Windows 2012 Servers running and it’s not possible to install managed Avast Enterprise Security Suite.
When will a new version be published?
The base AV client seems to be OK in Windows 8/Server 2012. SharePoint and Exchange Shields are note compatible with the new versions from our tests and still no official word on when toe expect an update to correct.

AVAST Software is planning a new beta version for AEA and ASOA during this month, May (next week), and a final release during June, depends of beta test phase.
New fixes/features for AEA:
Clients in avast! 8 engine (compatibility with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012)
FW – packet rules should be now properly configured from Console
Remote Virus chest – delete,restore … function now should work correctly
Exclusions – limit of exclusions has been increased - 1116 characters in one line - 3348 characters in total
Mirror proxy – settings have been added to the console – from now customer does not need to set proxy for mirror manually under mirror.ini file. This feature is not part of the installation package which u have.
Custom.ini – more settings can be changed at a time
Sound settings – now available in the computer catalog settings
No news for ASOA fixes/features.
i see several wanted improvements there, kudos! 
how about the mirror location where the program and updates are downloaded? no news about that?
