My Comodo firewall keeps intercepting program updates(including microsoft) and putting them in the files to be reviewed section despite having entered trusted software vendors into the list.
I accidently deleted some Avast antivirus files and am now wondering if these files will be picked up again in future updates or do I have to reinstall Avast.
How can I stop Comodo from doing this? should I delete it and rely on windows xp firewall?
Did you delete the files or the Comodo entries?
For the first, repair your installation (Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair)).
For the second, you will be probably asked again when avast modules tries to connect.
Hello,
I think you have to append any avast files to the “My Own Safe Files” list of comodo’s “Defence+”. (Not to “My Trusted Software Vendors”)
I’m using avast w/ CFP, avast updating is no problem.
