as of my last reboot some hours ago, avast has started reporting
all copies of mirc32.exe on my computer as general worms. I have
to pause the standard shield to be able to start the program.
my copy of mirc is a bit old - version 5.91
I suggest a search of the forums for mirc32.exe as I believe this has been covered and a false positive detection on the latest version of mirc32.exe corrected. So you would first be advised to update to the latest mirc32.exe version and ensure that you have the latest avast VPS version.
What exactly was detected? (i.e. what’s the name of the virus?)
