Missed PennyBeeLinkury during scans

I had been using Avast for a while, but it recently slowed down my computer. Mainly my Browser. It turned out to be the Avast Browser Security Extension for chrome.

When I removed it, and did a scan with another anti-virus program, the other program found something called Pennybeelinkury. I tried to get more info, but the program I used deleted it, so I couldn’t find more info. I did see that it was something related to something I saw previously, a similar name.

The program that DID find it was just Windows Defender on 8.1.

Once I removed the Avast Browser Security Extension my PC really got back to working fast, SO I may switch back to Avast sometime in the future if they fix the browser extension and get rid of so many pop-ups.

Its AdWare - see https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?Name=Adware:Win32/PennyBeeLinkury.

AdWare is a bit of a grey area and may also fall under PUP Potentially Unwanted Program, this would also depend on your Avast settings.
