Seems there was an icon in the system tray that rotated or did something to indicate mail was being scanned. It doesn’t seem to be there anymore. There is an icon (looks like an envelope) indicating mail has arrived. Ive searched everywhere but can’t seem to find any info regarding this. When I first installed AVAST 5 I think that was when I first noticed it. Then I had mail problems and the IP server had me change setting to a SSL connection. Then an avast pop up said something about unable to check mail with those settings. Got that straighten out with IP and back to avast checking mail. Now I have notes on the mail in/out saying mail was scanned, but no icon in system tray like before. Hope its not my imagination. Appreciate any info you might have. Thank you.
It isn’t missing I believe it is no longer there in avast 5.0, why that decision was made I don’t know.
