I have an accounting program on my computer. It worked very well for two years, but today when i tried to open it, Avast recognized it as threat and opened it in sandbox. i choose the option “open it normally” after which the program was opened, but only for few seconds, after which it was shut down, with message that Avast closed such program. this was repeated several times, and after that i was not able to open thi program at all as i received “before start please install MDAC_TYP” file. and that’s it!!! i cannot open my program at all… i have tons of financial info in that program…can anybody help please??? thank to all
welcome to the forum. what is the program that avast wants to open in sandbox? sound like a false threat to me. upload the file to virustotal.com and post the result here. so we can have a look on i.
