Mobile application detected as false positive!

Hi.

Lately we’ve been receiving some email from customers complaining of Avast for Android reporting our mobile application to contain a trojan virus. I did some comparing with other security applications available for android and none of them reported this except Avast. We are most certain that the application is clean but that does not help the customers.

I already reported the false positive twice but got no response from Avast. This is very alarming from our perspective as this application is a cornerstone of our system and it doesn’t give very good impression if some virus program alerts users without a real reason!

The android application in question is this:

Hello,
we’re sorry for this false positive. It will be fixed in the next virus database update.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I am facing same issue with very popular anti-theft software Where’s my driod :frowning:
When will it be fixed ?

Please read this : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=123133.0

This issue still remains with Remuc sw version 1.3.12 and avast version 130819-01. When will this issue be actually fixed?

Any news on this?

avast keeps reporting “Remuc has been reported as malware (Android:SMSSend-CZ[Trj]).” And to access the application (which is not malware) I have to press link “Allow for 15 minutes”.

Remuc version is this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=emb.remuc

And in above posts You say this has already been fixed. Is there a setting that needs modifying or what?

Hi,
the detection has been disabled. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No worries. Thank You!
