Hi, just updated Avast on my android zmax 2, and it says I can now buy mobile Security Pro.

I am especially interested that it says it will remove ads, as just recently I got one of those nasty advertisement pop ups that claims my android is infected and can’t be closed (and keeps prompting you to hit ok). I cleared the cache and turned the phone on and off, nothing worked, finally I did clear data and that did seem to stop it. I have had this happen several times in the past and it drives me nuts because it vibrates the thing too.

So with that background, here’s my questions:
If I buy this Mobile Security Pro, will it stop the advertisements from taking over my chrome app?

Does it have a special safe browser like the desktop version that prevents those horrible things?

Does it do like a boot scan to make sure I didn’t get infected?

Because seriously if it can stop these bad pop ups from taking over my Chrome App I am all ready to sign up! I just want to make sure that’s what it will actually do.

The paid version is currently only available to +/- 1% of the users and does basically the same as the free version but without the ads.

Oh ok so I’d only be paying to remove the advertisements from the app itself?

Today, AMS updated to 5.8.1-13784-f6cf43b on my 3 Android devices. Included is an “Upgrade” option to get rid of the ads in it’s interface. It seems this is being rolled out by Avast.

Rolled out to 1% of the users is known now.
No word from avast that it is rolled out to everyone.
