Mobile Security (Ultimate Multi) Disabled by Update

I have a valid subscription for Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) until September 2023 (renewed in May 2021). Yesterday evening I was prompted to download an update on my Android cellphone. After the update completed, it indicates that the subscription “Expired” on my phone with a retroactive effective date of September 29, 2021. Additionally, the SecureLineVPN appears as connected despite the subscription status also displaying “Expired”. Furthermore Ads have started appearing on my phone.

I Rebooted/Restarted the phone but still the same this morning. I logged on to my Subscriptions using my laptop and everything looks okay with it indicating that the Avast Ultimate (Multi) is being used on 2 devices (Windows Laptop and Android Phone). I also compared the Subscription Activation Code just in case of a glitch and it matches.

  1. Is this a known issue?
  2. How do I correct the issue?

Hi, to prevent posting sensitive info on the forum, I’d suggest to contact support directly: https://support.avast.com/contact

Okay, thanks. Contacted using the chat option but was told that the Mobile Support only works via email so a case was created and number issued. If and when I get it resolved, should I post any solution to this thread (minus any personal information)?

You’re welcome. (Sure, feedback is always welcome…!!)

Everything is fixed. As per Avast Support (Ognjen) :

“…I’ve investigated this, and I can confirm that there was an issue on our end. The expiry date of your mobile subscriptions was not set correctly, and they were showing as cancelled. This has now been fixed…”

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the feedback.
