Mobile security

I downloaded the mobile avast. Due to unforseen circumstances did not complete the install. When I went back to it a screen came up asking for 4 -6 digits to enable log in. Had not filled this in before.Deleted the programme reinstalled no questions asked, just the same digit screen came up? How can I correctly uninstall and install the prog.?

Did you install any previous version of avast?

No.

cna you please write me more detailed infos (android device type, OS version, rooted yes/no and how di you install it) to svehlak@avast.com? Thank you very much.

My phone is an HTC desire. OS 2.2.2 Not rooted. I downloaded it from an Avast message but did not complete the full download. I did not put in a 4 to 6 digit password now every time I try to complete the 4 to 6 digit password box comes up and I am stuffed from there on.
Thanks for your help.

Well that was a waste of time, sent the details off and NOTHING. All I am looking for is a way to get into the the system on my phone to set it up correctly. Avast, not looking good!!

Could you try 0000 for the password?

Filip

And actually write me was supposed “send me an email”. This is forum, if no response here, you can try our support.

I sent 2 emails to you! I appreciate this is a forum hence why I entered my query. As you appear to work for Avast I asumed you were part of the support team. I will now go through that process.

Filip
Thanks. I tried many series of numbers.

Actually what does “did not complete install” mean? You installed the application but then didn’t go through the Setup Wizard inside the application or the installation itself failed somehow…?

Filip

Basically. Yes!

Got called out so did not finish install. As I did not get as far as a password thought I could finish later!

And are you sure someone didn’t finish the setup instead of you? Did you try to set up Anti-Theft when you got called out or just plain AMS?

Filip

Hi like AVAST and the Anti-theft. it would be great if it was possible to login through a secure Web page to Avast Anti-Theft. I have seen that the Blackberry has a similar service but with it you can log in via the web. great if you want to find it on a map and without having to remember all the commands.

Hi,

the website is already planned so just hold on! Thanks for the feedback anyway

Filip

No one finished the setup. Did not try to set up Theft so must have been AMS whatever that is! All I need, I think is a way to get round the password. If you like I can email you and we can discuss the problem.

Ian

There is no way to get around the password. Wouldn’t be a much of a password protection, would it? You can try just uninstalling the Mobile Security and then installing it again. It should remove the password.

Filip

I tried deleting before but it did not delete all of the programme. Will give it another try. Thanks for your help.
