I have two hard drives. I know that having two Anti-virus programs is not good.
But, some people are on drive C: and some on Drive D:
both using e-mail and web browsing.
Do I put Avast on both drives or will on cover the other drive.

Unless they are on different OS installations it doesn’t matter where you install them as they are installed under ‘one windows registry.’ The low level drivers that are loaded would be loaded under that same OS and these are what can lead to conflict.
You only need one installation of avast to cover ‘all local hard disks.’
