Mother’s email hacked by someone using Avast IP

Hello,

My mother’s email account has been hacked by someone using an Avast IP address in the UK. She’d been having trouble logging in for a few days and msn was not letting me recover the account but then noticed an email from Thursday in my email ( which I had failed to notice before unfortunately ) indicating the password had been changed followed by another email letting me know my email had been deleted from the account. The emails did have an IP address and the location as the UK and when I looked up the IP 5.62.43.168. I guess I need to figure out who to report this to ( we’re in America ), any info appreciated.

It could be someone using the Avast VPN service, so they could be anywhere in the world theoretically.
