Does anyone on here know why my mouse is playing up as it is a logitech laser mouse which I believe lots of people have trouble with, it cant detect its own battery levels and it is erratic is there any way I can leave the mouse control to Windows rather than going through the logitech driver?
Make sure that you use a fresh battery and check to see if you have the latest driver.

It might also help if you told us the exact model# of your mouse.
I have the latest driver and the mouse model is V450 Laser Cordless Mouse
Take a look at the following review:

Since this seems to be plug’n’play compatible, Microsoft must have a universal driver for this mouse.
If you want to try it, be sure to uninstall the current driver; reboot and then just have widows detect it.
Good luck.
