I did download the online installer from avast’s site and selected custom install. Dropbox was not part of the custom install, or is this a different online installer?
What I wrote is “offline installer” instead of “online installer”.

I have just installed the new version simply by clicking on “Update” in “Status”.
After reboot, I unchecked “Dropbox”, then everything except the program version remains unchanged.
